Tehran (IP) - Deputy Minister and Head of Food and Drug Administration Mohammadreza Shanehsaz said due to the special need for the flu vaccine, Health Ministry supplied vaccine 6 times more than last year for ordinary people and 10 times more for special patients.

Iran Press/Iran News: Attending a press conference on Wednesday at the Health Ministry, the deputy minister said that although we have met the country's need, people should have enough information about this vaccine. Since large currency has been spent, we need to manage vaccination.

He also referred to the medicine for special patients and said that it is planned and predicted for those that have no similar in local production.

For neurological patients, it is recommended that doctors prescribe local medicine for them for the first time, so that local ones may be effective for them, he added.

Regarding the imported needed medicine for coronavirus patients, Shanehsaz said that we have prepared a list and fully managed the country's need, enough currency has been allocated, orders have been placed and we are not worried in this regard.
