Iran, Azerbaijan underscore development of ties

Baku (IP) - During the meeting of the Ambassador of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, the development of Tehran-Baku relations and cooperation was emphasized.

Iran PressAsia: During the meeting, held on Tuesday on the occasion of the end of Jahangirzadeh's mission, Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the development of brotherly relations and cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran based on respect, mutual support, and historical friendship.

Referring to the cooperation between the two countries in multilateral and regional issues and relations, he appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran's reaction to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is based on international law and the protection of territorial integrity, and Iran's fair position on the recent conflicts between Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran also pointed out that during his mission, capacities were used to develop relations between the two countries, and assured that the new Ambassador of Iran will spare no effort in deepening and developing relations between the two countries.

Emphasizing Iran's support for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and referring to the messages of the Vice President and Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and MPs regarding the recent conflicts between Azerbaijan and Armenia, he said that the concerns of the Republic of Azerbaijan are also Iran's concerns.
