Tehran (IP) - Head of Presidential Office Mahmoud Vaezi on Monday wrote in an Instagram message that Iran-Azerbaijan relations and cooperation are a positive example of constructive relations between the countries of the region.

Iran PressIran News: In his message, Vaezi emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a friendly and neighboring country, has always stood by the government and nation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and attaches importance to the development of relations with this country.

He noted: "Today, in a telephone conversation with Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev, I said that, due to the coronavirus outbreak in the world, official visits and meetings have decreased, more efforts should be made to develop relations and cooperation in line with the interests of the two nations."

The Chief of Presidential staff stated: "Reminding the need to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries, I said, certainly, tensions in the region are not in the interest of any country and we want stability, development, and progress of all countries, especially the Republic of Azerbaijan."

Vaezi also expressed that conflicts in the region would be resolved through peaceful solutions and dialogue.
