The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia has said that Iran seeks to facilitate land, rail, and sea trade with Russia in order to expand non-oil exports.

Iran PressEurope: Kazem Jalali in a video conference with officials of the Chamber of Commerce, Customs, Ports and Shipping Organization, Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce, Aquatic Production and Trade Union, Agricultural Union and Food Industry Association of Iran, while reviewing the latest trade situation between the two countries added: "Iran-Russia economic relations have not grown in line with political and security relations, while in order to have a continuous and dynamic relationship, the trade balance between the two countries must be improved."

The Iranian ambassador to Moscow also stressed the need to remove obstacles to the development of economic relations between Iran and Russia.

In this meeting, issues related to removing transit barriers, facilitating customs affairs, equipping land, rail and sea transport fleets, planning to use Roro ships, establishing logistics centers and warehouses in the target market, consolidating companies in the form of export clusters, the use of Russia's green customs corridor as well as the reform of foreign exchange policies for the return of export currency were examined.  207/219
