Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Malaysia, while emphasizing the use of a pure barter trade mechanism for the greater benefit of the two nations, agreed to finalize the preferential tariff agreement and the holding of a joint economic commission.

In this video conversation, the Iranian Foreign Minister invited his Malaysian counterpart to play a role in resolving the Yemeni crisis through politics, as the only solution, considering Malaysia's position as an active member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for any Malaysian initiative to establish peace and end the Yemeni crisis, Zarif said: "Tehran will actively assist in achieving peace in Yemen."

The Iranian Foreign Minister further praised Malaysia's correct and principled stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.

Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato Hishamuddin Hussain also stressed in this video interview the unchangeable position of Malaysia on the Palestinian issue and its special place in the hearts of the Malaysian people.

Zarif and Hishamuddin Hussein also discussed holding a joint economic commission as a way to develop bilateral trade.
