Iran Press/ Iran News: Hamid Silavi, governor of Dasht-e Azadegan said that by reopening the Chazzabeh trade border, which is a demand of the residents on both sides of the border, it will be possible to export agricultural and industrial products from Khuzestan province to Iraq.
Silavi added: "The area of Chazzabeh border, 110 km northwest of Ahvaz, is continuously disinfected to reduce the possibility of the Coronavirus outbreak to zero.
Khuzestan has economic, cultural and educational relations with the provinces of Maysan and Basrah in Iraq.
Last year, about $ 700 million worth of non-oil goods, most of which were construction materials, dairy products, and household goods, were exported to Iraq from the Chazzabeh trade border.
Mehran's trade border in Ilam province was recently opened with the consent of the Iraqi side to export goods to Iraq in a limited way.
Khuzestan province officials also hope that the Chazzabeh and Shalamcheh trade borders will be opened in accordance with health protocols.
Now, two of five Iranian-Iraqi border crossings reopen for both goods and individuals one in the south of Iran and another between western Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan.
