Zero to Podium wins award at US Queen Palm Film Festival

The Iranian documentary "Zero to Podium" by Sahar Mosayyebi, chronicling the lives of three Iranian wushu athlete sisters, won the Sport Inspirational Best Award at the Queen Palm International Film Festival in the United States.

Iran PressAmerica: The documentary recounts the personal and sport lives of the Mansurian sisters from Semirom, who chose wushu martial art to achieve success in life despite all the hardships they have faced throughout their life.

The documentary has previously won the 27th Raindance Film Festival's Discovery Award, the Italian Women's Film Festival Award, and the Best Director Award at the Italian Cinema d'iDEA Film Festival.

The Queen's Palm Festival is held annually in California to discover new and different works in the world.

“Zero to Podium”, a documentary by Sahar Mosayebi about the lives of Shahrbanu, Soheila and Elaheh Mansourian, three Iranian sisters who are Wushu fighters from the small Iranian town of Semirom. 

It narrates the story of the sisters, beginning from their homeland in Isfahan Province, ending at the international Wushu competition in Indonesia.

The Mansourian sisters have brought several international titles to Iran from different global and Asian martial arts competitions.
