Iran Press/ Middle East: Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran’s foreign minister arrived in Damascus on Wednesday afternoon and was welcomed by Syrian officials.
Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdulahian, added: "We always have successful consultations with high-ranking Syrian officials and with my colleague Faisal Mekdad in Damascus or Tehran. Considering the new developments in the region, we are witnessing a new and positive page of relations in the region."
He continued: "We are in Damascus today to discuss these issues and similar issues of regional and international interest.
"He emphasized that following the agreements of the presidents of the two countries in the recent visit of President Raisi to Damascus and the recent visit of a complete political and economic delegation from Syria to Tehran is another goal of this trip.
