Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran's Ministry of Interior opened pre-registration for the candidates of the parliamentary elections on Monday.
As the Spokesman of the Iranian Elections Chief of Staff said, about 7,700 entered the registration mechanism on Monday.
Another 4000 people started the registration process on the second day, Tuesday.
Mohsen Eslami said the registration is a two-step process, the pre-registration phase of which will continue until August 13.
The whole process of the parliamentary elections started on Sunday, August 6, with the Iranian Minister of Interior Ahmad Vahidi issuing the order.
Vahidi said the deadline for registration cannot be extended.
The people will participate in the parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections on March 1, 2024.
