Iran Press/ Asia: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press in the capital of India, New Delhi, Dr. Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam, All India Imam Organization, elaborated on the critical message of the Karbala uprising.
He said that as soon as Muharram begins, the memory of the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his 72 companions becomes fresh.
"Today we need to understand that Yazid whose name and trace is not there, and there is no address of his grave," added Ilyasi.
He further stated: "The rest is only the name of Imam Hussain, who is known all over the world today, the atrocities committed by Yazid cannot be forgotten till the doomsday."
"Now we should make arrangements for Muharram; this day, this month reminds us of Imam Hussain (as), and all these are the names of the martyrs of Karbala," he further noted.
"And gives this message to the world that the truth was with Imam Hussain (as), when arrows hit him in prayer, he kept praying only in the way of Allah," he stressed.
"And Imam Hussain head was cut off in prayer and gave this message that he sacrificed in the way of Allah on the promise of his maternal grandfather Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S)," added he.
"We get to learn from this, to save humanity, Imam Hussain (as) and his companions made a big sacrifice for Islam," concluded he.
