Pres. Raisi:

Nairobi (IP) - Iran's President says that the trade between Iran and Kenya should increase 10 times more than the current amount in the first step of the two countries cooperation.

Iran PressAfrica: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya on Wednesday morning and was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua.

Raisi proceeded to State House where he was received by his host President William Ruto.

After talks and discussion between President Raisi and President William Ruto, documents of mutual cooperation was inked between the two countries ministers.

Delivering a speech in a joint press conference with his Kenyan counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi said the current Iranian administration's approach to Africa considers the continent with countries enjoying human, spiritual, and natural capacities.  

Raisi said on Tuesday that the two countries possess capacities, the exchange of which can help to improve the level of relations between the two countries.

He highlighted the Iranian advances despite the West's sanctions and the capacity to share experience, noting: "Today, Iran is deserved to be called an advanced and technological Iran. We overcame the sanctions and got progressed in different fields. We are ready to share our experiences with Kenya; we have many experiences in the fields of economy, science and technology." 

Raisi mentioned petrochemicals, agriculture, science, and technology among the areas of Iran's experiences and pointed out: "Our cooperation will not be specific to the two countries. Just as Iran has relations with the countries of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia, Kenya also has relations with East Asia."
