Rome (IP) - The Italians condemned the Israeli regime's attack on the Jenin refugee camp, the northernmost camp in the Occupied West Bank.

Iran PressEurope: A group of Italian and Palestinian citizens gathered in Rome, the capital of Italy, in support of the Palestinian residents of the Jenin camp and the Palestinian resistance forces on Friday evening.

The protestors called for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine, violence, and the Apartheid regime in the Palestinian territories.

The speakers in the rally criticized the indifference of Western officials towards the crimes of the Zionist army in the Jenin camp.

Protesters at the anti-Zionist march in Rome criticized that the West keeps accusing Russia of attacking Ukraine, but at the same time, they are silent about Israel's occupation of Palestine and the killing of Palestinians.

Giovanni Russo Spena, a Retired lecturer in administrative law, journalist, essayist, politician, and a former Member of the Italian Parliament, called Italian officials' silence toward the killing of Palestinians in the Jenin camp by the Israeli army "shameful" in his talk with Iran Press correspondence.

The Italian former Member of the Parliament (Spena) stressed the inertness of the opposition parties of the Italian parliament, the inactivity of the Italian President Sergio Mattarella, and the mass media's silence toward Israel's attack on Jenin.

Spena pointed to the indifference of Italy and Europe to Israel's crimes in Palestine, calling it the end of democracy in Europe.

One of the speakers at the anti-Zionist rally in Rome said: Shireen Abu Akleh, a Palestinian journalist of Al Jazeera Media Network (AJMN), was shot dead by the Zionists last year while preparing a report on the attack of Israeli soldiers on the Jenin refugee camp.

The protestors appreciated the Palestinians' resistance against the attacks of the Zionist regime and demanded boycotts of Israel.
