Tehran (IP) - Iran and Turkey are making efforts to facilitate their mutual trading via their borders, Mohammad Eslami, Minister of Road and Urban development stated.

Iran Press/Iran News: On the sideline of converting the '06 garrison' into an urban green space, Mohammad Eslami in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the importance of Bazargan border reopening to develop non-oil goods exports said the Bazargan border shutting down over various reasons mainly Coronavirus outbreak was damage for both sides.

He added many talks and negotiations have been held to make it open of course under implementing health and hygienic instructions and protocols since the outbreak.

It has taken time for Turkey to declare its readiness to reopen the border because engaged with containing the virus, Eslami reiterated.

With the re-opening of the Bazargan border since yesterday commuting is ongoing, continued the minister.

He expressed hope to facilitate Iran-Turkey trading via land and rail routes.

Two sides "Turkey-Iran" are hoping to get their trading and transits back to normal like before, the official made the remark.
