Iran Press/Iran News: Head of Presidential Office Mahmoud Vaezi called Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan on Monday to discussed the economic situation in the region and world caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus, emphasizing the need to resume border exchanges and road transport between the two countries with the aim of developing trade relations.
The head of the Presidental Staff also noted the valuable achievements of Iran by physicians and knowledge-based companies, as well as scientific, medical, and research centers in the field of combating the coronavirus, and announced Iran's readiness to transfer experience and knowledge to Turkey.
In this telephone call, the Turkish Trade Minister emphasized the resumption of trade and economic relations between the two countries in the context of the economic crisis caused by Corona in the countries, adding, "Trade with Iran is underway through railways and we are looking to expand it. We are also trying to resume trade through road transport in compliance with health regulations.”
She added, "We are ready to cooperate with Iran and we hope to see the expansion of this cooperation with the implementation of previous agreements between the two countries. Iran has had a successful performance against Corona and we are interested in using its experience in this field.”
