Iran Press/Iran News: Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Health Ministry Kyanoosh Jahanpour wrote on his twitter account on Thursday that Iranian-made COVID-19 diagnosis kits were sent to Germany and Turkey.
Turkey and Germany are among the countries where the coronavirus is most prevalent.
The Spokesman for Iran's Customs Ruhollah Latifi said on Wednesday that the COVID-19 serology diagnostic kits, made by Iranian specialists, were delivered to Germany over the past two days.
He added that the consignment includes 200 sets of coronavirus diagnostic kits, each set of which is used for 100 diagnostic tests, the consignment will be used for 20,000 diagnostic tests.
The first shipment of the Iranian knowledge-based companies including COVID-19 serology diagnostic kits and 40,000 items was exported to Germany on May 5.
On May 9, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced that the country has sent COVID-19 test kits to Germany and Turkey.
Zarif wrote in his Twitter account: "We sent 40,000 advanced test kits made in Iran to Germany, Turkey, and others."
The kits were made by one of the Iranian knowledge-based companies.
Iran also sent ventilators and coronavirus test kits as humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
According to Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, the country is able to run one million coronavirus tests per day, all of which are domestically produced.
The coronavirus serological test kits, manufactured by domestic knowledge-based companies, have received the necessary export licenses from Iran's Ministry of Health.
Over 60 countries including Germany, Turkey, Poland, and some countries in South America and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have so far requested the product.
