Iran Press/Asia: In a meeting between the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ahmad Hosseini and the head of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Railways Mahir Aliyev, the two sides reviewed ways of bilateral cooperation in the field of rail transport, especially the launch of the Nakhchivan-Mashhad passenger train.
Aliyev said: "All the necessary facilities and infrastructure have been provided for launching a train from Nakhchivan to Mashhad and bringing pilgrims to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam."
the head of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Railways expressed hope that with the help of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Nakhchivan-Mashhad passenger train would be launched and becomes operational soon.
