Tehran (IP)- Basij volunteer groups in Tehran's District 17 distributed 600 hygiene packages including sanitary disinfectants to the martyrs' families in the area.

Iran Press/Iran news: Six Basij volunteer groups of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Command in Tehran's District 17, distributed 600 packages, including sanitary disinfectants, to the martyrs' families in the area on Saturday. 

These groups, which started their work after the coronavirus outbreak in Iran, have so far provided and distributed 700 food packages in two stages among the poor and vulnerable people whose lives have been affected by the outbreak in line with the nationwide 'Pious Help' maneuver.

The groups will continue to do so in two more stages until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

These packages have been funded partially by donors and partially by the IRGC. 

The daily production of 90,000 N-95 masks, screening and measuring body temperature, daily distribution of 4000 liters of disinfectants among the people, disinfection of hospitals, passages, and cars are other measures of these Basij volunteer groups in which 120 young people and adolescents are working daily. 

Different volunteer groups in Tehran coordinate with each other through an online system to meet the food and hygiene needs of the people.

'Pious Help' maneuver is being held in Tehran and other cities of Iran with the help of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a sign of sympathy to help those who are in need, due to the coronavirus in which 400,000 food and grocery pack will be distributed among the people of Tehran during Ramadan Month.

The project started after recent remarks by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in which he urged to help those in need amid the coronavirus outbreak.
