Khuzestan (IP) - A large workshop is launched in Karoun of Khuzestan, southwest of Iran, to produce masks, glove, and gowns in order to support the medical staff of the country in combat against coronavirus.

Iran Press/Iran news: The women voluntary group of Hazrat Zeinab (AS) along with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) produce sanitary items with 50 sewing machines in two shifts with a daily production of 10,000 masks as well as other items in the large workshop.

Simultaneously with the outbreak of the coronavirus in Iran, the voluntary groups, Basij, and the IRGC have stepped in to fight the deadly coronavirus, COVID-19 disease, with all their medical and health capabilities.

Across Iran, many people have been producing and distributing masks and special clothing throughout the country voluntarily since the start of the outbreak in a bid to combat the spread of coronavirus.

With the outbreak of the virus, most of the clothing workshops and companies have changed their production line and joining the 'National Mobilization Campaign Against Coronavirus' to produce masks to protect people against the disease.

Reza Rahmani, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, on April 5 said, "Daily production of masks in the country will reach four million pieces in the mid-April."
