Tabriz (IP) - After the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Iran, volunteer forces are producing masks in mosques in the city of Tabriz, the capital of East Azarbaijan province in northwestern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Basij Defenders of the health of the people of Tabriz, by producing more than 1000  masks a day in the mosques of this city, have taken an important step in controlling and defeating the COVID-19 virus.

After disinfection and then with the approval of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, masks produced in mosques are distributed freely among the people of this city in order to prevent spreading the Coronavirus.

Across Iran, many people have been producing and distributing masks and special clothing throughout the country voluntarily since the start of the outbreak in a bid to combat the spread of coronavirus.

Also, With the outbreak of the virus, most of the clothing workshops and companies have changed their production line and joining the 'National Mobilization Campaign Against Coronavirus' to produce masks to protect people against the disease.

For example, female students produce 20,000 masks per day in Mashhad.

Reza Rahmani, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, on April 5 said, "Daily production of masks in the country will reach four million pieces in the mid-April."
