Iranian Health Minister, Saeed Namaki

Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Health Minister announced the implementation of a smart social distancing project in the country as of April 8.

Iran PressIran news: Saeed Namaki highlighted the social distancing project performed by the Judiciary and Police, saying that the project will enter in its second phase is Smart Distancing by the virtue of which some scientific, cultural, and religious centers resume their activity based on experts’ medical protocols.

In his remarks on Wednesday over the implementation of screening and social distancing national projects, Namaki announced that already 67 million people have been screened, which is a significant number to those authorities assessing health measures. 

The health minister said such a health campaign is unique with regards to the vastness of Iran, indicating that the people trust in their country’s healthcare system services.

He pointed to the examination of 430,000 people out of them near 6,000 who have been hospitalized and said that the significant performance supported by the media could take a huge burden from upon hospitals.

However the minister said the coronavirus outbreak has not yet harnessed, but it is managed. 207
