Hungarian ambassador summoned to Iranian Foreign Ministry

Tehran (IP) - Hungarian Ambassador to Tehran Zoltan Varga-Haszonits has been summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry in protest to the aberrant treatment of corona-infected Iranian students at Budapest's Szent L?szl? Hospital.

Iran PressIran News: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi met with Hungarian Ambassador to Iran, to notify him of Iran’s protest over the aberrant behavior of the police and medical staff of Szent László Hospital in Budapest with Iranian students infected with the Coronavirus.

Araghchi rejected the Hungarian government's decision to expel 15 Iranian students suspected of corona and called on the ambassador to notify the Hungarian authorities of the demand of the Islamic Republic of Iran to disregard the decision.

The meeting also reaffirmed the Hungarian government's responsibility to provide Iranian students with appropriate housing, health, and medical care.

The new virus, that causes a respiratory disease known as COVID-19, emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei Province late last year.
