First shipment of Qatari health aid arrives in Tehran

Tehran (IP) - The first shipment of Qatari medical aid arrived at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Airport on Friday night.

Iran PressIran news: Following a telephone conversation between Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian president with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar' and effort made by Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian as the head of the Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, the country's first consignment of health aid, weighting 5.5 tons of health items, have arrived in Tehran, Iran Press reported.

These items are to be handed over to the Ministry of Health and Corona Command Headquarters for distribution to health centers and hospitals.

The ‏Spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education said that 3529 of the people who were infected with COVID-19 have been discharged from hospitals all across Iran.
