Iran announces readiness to receive cash, non-cash aid to counter Corona

Tehran(IP) - The Ministry of Economy, due to the widespread prevalence of Coronavirus worldwide, has sent separate letters to development banks, announcing the necessary and urgent items announced readiness to receive cash and non-cash aid.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance, Seyed Ali-Mohammad Mousavi sent letters to the World Bank (WB), the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), Iran Press reported.

The letters, while referring to the development of urgent aid programs for countries to tackle the Coronavirus by development banks, especially the World Bank, with regard to their socio-international responsibility and the membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in these institutions emphasized, "The aforementioned institutions make urgently Iran benefit from their assistance in the West Asian region, which has been most affected by the Corona outbreak."

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance's Information Committee to Fight Coronavirus said in a statement, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has taken these comprehensive measures to equip its internal and external resources to defeat Corona."

The ‏Spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education said that 3529 of the people who were infected with COVID-19 have been discharged from hospitals all across Iran.
