Tehran (IP) - Iran's Vice President for Legal Affairs, Laya Joneydi said for bringing US President Donald Trump to international Court of Justice cooperation has been done with UN Special Rapporteur on Unilateral Coercive Measures, Idris Jazayeri.

Iran Press/Iran News: On the sideline of Wednesday cabinet session, Iranian Vice President for Legal Affairs Laya Joneydi in an answer to Iran Press reporters referred to the government's efforts to bring Trump to international trials because of his unilateral actions against Iran, and said: "The biggest measure that could be done in international forums was suing him in the International Court of Justice, and a temporary order has been issued for that and Cooperation with UN Special Rapporteur on Unilateral Coercive Measures Idris Jazayeri has been carried out."

She further said: "Government who was under US unilateral actions, have submitted a draft resolution to the United Nations on December 18, 2019, and also a resolution was submitted to the General Assembly, and it was documented on January 24 and turned into a resolution that 135 members voted in favor of that."

Joneydi stressed: "This is a success for the country and other countries that oppose this kind of unilateral action. Cooperation with the reporter Idris Jazayeri is also ongoing. God willing, other measures will be taken."
