Iran army securing arbaeen pilgrimage

Commander of Iran's Army Ground Force said that drones, balloons and quadcopters of the Army will provide the safety and security of Arbaeen pilgrims.

Iran PressIran news: The Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Kioomars Heidari on the sidelines of an unveiling ceremony of new achievements of Iran’s Army Force, stated that Iran's Army like previous years is deploying drones to ensure the security of pilgrims to Iraq for Arbaeen.  

He added, battling is a science and is evolving like all other phenomena and for this purpose, we need special tools and technologies to fight and defend our land and territory.

Iranian General reiterated: “Today, we are in a position that we have to defend the country against external threats and in this way, we have to indigenize production of defensive equipment, otherwise, we may sustain irreparable damages.” 

Heydari noted, the Commander in Chief of all armed forces has urged the armed forces to stand on their own feet and indigenize defense science and technology. Thus, we are proud to announce that we have the most up-to-date defense and indigenous technology available in 26 military branches.

He added, today the army is equipped with the state of the art stealth, night time and 24 hours operational drones which are capable of aerial warfare.

He stressed that all the Iran Army Ground Forces drone requirements are designed and manufactured by domestic experts of the Army Ground Force and used by its units.

General Heydari continued: "Today we rely on indigenous technologies such as these drones to secure and protect the eastern, western and southwestern borders of our country.
