Iran\\\'s Zarif in Paris for talks with French president

Iran's Foreign Minister arrived in Paris late on Thursday for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on the 2015 nuclear deal.

Iran Press/Europe: Mohammad Javad Zarif is also scheduled to sit down for talks with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian during his visit to Paris.

Earlier, Zarif had said he would travel to Paris at the behest of President Hassan Rouhani to discuss Macron's proposals on maintaining JCPOA.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg on Thursday on his third leg of European tour before departing Oslo for Paris.

A few days ago, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Abbas Mousavi said the visit of the Iranian Zarif to the north European country of Finland which is part of his Scandinavian tour proves hollowness of the US baseless sanctions on him.

French President, Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday he would meet Iranian officials ahead of this weekend’s G7 summit and would make proposals to help de-escalate tensions between Washington and Tehran.
