US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.
This is while most world powers including Russia, China, and European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.
“JCPOA is an arms control measure that works. Need to analyze President Trump's decision. All sides should refrain from steps that could further destabilize the Middle East,” Kneissl wrote on her Twitter account on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Donald Tusk, President of the European Council said in a Twitter message “Policies of Donald Trump on Iran Deal and trade will meet a united European approach. EU leaders will tackle both issues at the summit in Sofia next week.”
