Iran urges speeding up Kabul Tehran economic agreements implementation

During a meeting with the Acting Minister of Finance of Afghanistan, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of the Kabul-Tehran economic agreements.

Iran Press/Asia: Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Thursday met with Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal, the acting head of the Afghan Ministry of Finance, and called for joint planning and the development of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Araghchi, who arrived in Kabul on Wednesday, met with Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar last night and discussed the approvals of Atmar's recent visit to Iran, the finalization of a comprehensive strategic cooperation document between the two countries and issues of mutual interest. He also discussed the expansion of bilateral relations.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs has scheduled to meet with a number of other Afghan officials today and to attend a meeting this evening at the Institute for Strategic Studies in Afghanistan.
