Tehran (IP)- Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar, expressed his country's eagerness to expand economic ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar ??????in a meeting in Tehran with Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli highlighted Iran-Afghanistan unity and solidarity. 

The two countries' concerns were discussed and evaluated to be resolved in a short time. 

"We believe that fraternal relations between the two countries can alleviate all common concerns, and by examining the fundamental problems, we can develop relations between the two countries," noted the Afghan acting Foreign Minister.

Stressing all Afghan nationals must commute Iran legally, Mohammad Hanif Atmar underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always received Afghan nationals warmly and treated them based on the human rights rules.

Afghanistan is emphasizing to continue its ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we laud Iranians for their hospitality and are eager to expand ties with Iran, Hanif Atmar said.

Some three million Afghans, including refugees, passport holders, and undocumented ones, have sought safety in Iran over the past 40 years.

Iran spends $8 billion on Afghans every year in various sectors. Besides, an exemplary policy in Iran lets Afghan children attend public school, whether they are registered refugees, passport holders, or even undocumented migrants.

The UN refugee agency has, on numerous occasions, praised Iran for hosting Afghan refugees for more than four decades.
