The Minister of Information and Communications Technology of Iran on his Twitter account wrote that a new Iranian supercomputer called "Simorgh", which is much more powerful than previous ones will be ready by next year.

Iran Press/Iran NewsMohammad Javad Azari-Jahromi added that: "Simorgh, the Iranian supercomputer will support businesses with the aim of developing artificial intelligence." 

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting with medalists of international and national Science Olympiads as well as Iran youth national volleyball team on August 7 in Tehran said: "Achieving beneficial scientific progress for the country is possible through a revolutionary, Islamic-based approach, and the key obligation on the part of the young elite generation is to advance the boundaries of science and technology."
