Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani

The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council has emphasized that mischief in international waterways, putting at risk commercial shipping, would not go unanswered.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Saturday that a special committee has been set up to investigate the issue regarding the missile attack on an Iranian oil tanker in the Red Sea.

He added: "By reviewing existing video footage and information gathered, some clues and facts about this dangerous adventure are already known," Iran Press reported.

Referring to the sabotage attempts made on Iranian oil tankers 'Happiness and Helmin' in the Red Sea, Shamkhani said threatening commercial shipping in international waterways, creating insecurity for commercial ships will have significant consequences for the global economy, adding that the planners and supporters of the hostile act will be held accountable for their actions.
