Chairman of the Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries Syndicate, Dr. Ahmad Sheybani

Chairman of the Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries Syndicate has criticised some Asian companies for not delivering pharmaceutical ingredients to Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Pointing to the fact that medicines aren't supposed to be sanctioned, Dr. Ahmad Sheybani said those who claim medicines are also sanctioned are lying, adding: "In addition to Europe, some Asian companies prevent supplying pharmaceuticals to Iran because of sanctions."

Speaking at a press conference at the 5th exhibition of Medicines and Related Industries (Iran Pharma) at the Food and Drug Administration on Saturday, Shaybani said: "Despite all these hardships, Iran has reached a position that holding such an exhibition has attracted 150 foreign companies from 30 countries, including China and India, and they are all taking part," Iran Press reported.

"These foreign companies are active in the field of pharmaceutical raw materials or pharmaceutical machinery, and some of them attend this exhibition for new marketing," Shaybani added.

Chairman of the Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries Syndicate remembered: "The exhibition of Medicines and Related Industries is held in an area of more than 43,000 square meters that has increased 30 percent compared to last year."

The 5th exhibition of Medicines and Related Industries (Iran Pharma) will be held from 24 to 26 September in Tehran. 101/211/207
