Iranian President and members of his cabinet renewed their allegiance on Saturday with the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini (may God bless his soul), on the occasion of Government Week.

Iran Press/Iran news: In the event that took place on Saturday morning with the Custodian of Imam Khomeini’s, Hassan Rouhani and accompanying delegation paid tribute to the Late Founder of the Islamic Revolution by placing a bouquet of flowers on his grave.

President Rouhani and his cabinet ministers then visited the tombs of former Iranian President Mohammad Ali Rajaei and his Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar, who were killed in a bomb attack at the Prime Minister Office on 30 August 1981, Iran Press reported. 

Every year, a week in late August - early September is designated 'government week' in Iran, commemorating the former President, martyr Mohammad Ali Rajaei and former Prime Minister, martyr Mohammad Javad Bahonar. 

The President also paid tribute to the former head of the Expediency Council, the late Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.  101/211
