Iran Press/Iran news: The Heris healthcare tourism press conference was held in Tehran on Thursday, 5th September 2019 attended by Iranian and foreign medical specialists and doctors. Two of the key speakers at the press conference were Seyyed Hadi Mollana and Hamidreza Dehghani.

Addressing the audience Seyyed Hadi Mollana, head of Diagnosis and Treatment at Roshana Cancer Treatment Clinic said: "Our principal aim is first of all to prevent cancer, and secondly to diagnose the disease at an early stage, to stop its spreading in the human body, and to cure cancer as soon as possible. The [US] sanctions have made moving more difficult for us or others but we hope to offer the best possible medical services for treatment of cancer given the Iranian government and Health Ministry's full support."

Another key speaker at the conference was Hamidreza Dehghani, a member of the executive board of the Roshana Cancer Treatment Clinic.

Dehghani said: "We have developed medical tourism providing foreign patients with first-class medical treatment here in Iran, and we see to their needs during their stay in Iran. We shall be in direct contact with our patients after they leave this country.  We hope to offer the best medical facilities, the best doctors, and the best treatment at a minimum cost to our patients who come from many different countries. The majority of outpatients come from neighboring countries and we provide them with high-quality medical services at a very reasonable price during their visit to Iran".

Dehghani added: "We have held discussions and negotiations with France, Armenia, Ukraine, Spain and the Republic of Azerbaijan to cooperate and offer medical services to their patients visiting Iran, often costing the patient just a fraction of what it would cost them in Europe. We will provide them with a visa to visit Iran and offer them first-class medical treatment. Some of them may have enough time to go sightseeing and see places of historic and religious significance in the Islamic Republic. Some of them may have only enough time to go sightseeing around Tehran."
