Residents of Baghdad and supporters of Iraq's Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement staged a demonstration against US intervention in their country.

Iran Press/Middle East: The people of Baghdad, especially supporters of Iraq's Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, held anti-American demonstrations on Saturday.

The demonstrators declared their opposition to US cruel sanctions against some Iraqi figures, Iran Press reported.

Baghdad media also reported that a large number of Iraqis, particularly "supporters of al-Khazali in al-Karada district in central Baghdad, protested his inclusion on the US sanctions list."

The protesters chanted slogans condemning US interventions, demanding the independence of Iraqi decision-making.
