The commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force hailed the defense achievements in the country and said the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces will not compromise on defense capabilities.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at a news conference in Mashhad, Northeast of Iran on Wednesday, Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh added the enemy is seeking to create disillusionment among the people and undermine the achievements of Iran's Islamic Revolution.

Referring to Iran's progress over the past 40 years, the IRGC Aerospace Force Commander added that many countries in the region are weapons importers, but today Iran has become self-sufficient in defense industry despite tough sanctions, Iran Press reported.

Pointing to economic pressure against Iran, General Hajizadeh said: "We should turn the economic problems to opportunity. The enemy has launched an economic war against Iran. The economic problems must be resolved with unity."

On the eve of 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, an exhibition of defense achievements of Iran's armed forces, titled 'Eghtedar 40', has opened to the public in Tehran.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.101/210
