Iran Press/Iran news: Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Aerial Expo in Tehran, Major General Mousavi said: "Thanks to our faith in God, the leadership of the commander-in-chief of Iran's armed forces, and the support of the great Iranian nation, Iran's armed forces are currently in an excellent condition and are at the peak of their power."
According to an Iran Press report, commenting further, Major General Mousavi added: "The Iranian Armed Forces Aerial Expo is another manifestation of the authority and power of the Islamic revolution of Iran. We thank God that today we are witnessing another sign of the Iranian nation’s power."
In further remarks, the top Iranian Army Commander said: "Today's exhibition is a manifestation of domestic capabilities to defend the country. The exhibition features a variety of domestically-produced military hardware, ordnance, helicopters, and rockets made by talented Iranian scientists.”
He added: "Iranian Armed Forces are more prepared than ever to defend the country."
Aerial Expo in the Mehrabad Tactical airbase 1 (TAB 1- Shahid Lashgari airbase) located in West Tehran, features major aerial achievements of Iranian Armed Forces over the past four decades. Besides Iran’s Army commander, the top commander of the Navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, Coordinating Deputy of Islamic Republic of Iran Army Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, and the top commander of the Iranian Air Force (IRIAF) Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh attended the opening ceremony.
60 booths showcase the latest Iranian-manufactured aerial defense equipment and hardware, including the newest Iranian-made missiles and drones. Also, various types of fighter jets, training aircraft and military transport cargo planes belonging to the Iranian Air Force and Aerospace Force of the IRGC (Islamic Revolution Guards Corps) were put on public display.
In Mehrabad Aerial Expo SU-24 Fighter jets, Tucano flight training plane, Ilyushin 76 multi-purpose four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter, the Antonov An-74 transport aircraft of IRGC Aerospace displayed their latest flight technology equipment and aircraft.
Also, F-5, F-4, F-14, F-7, Sukhoi 24, Mig 29, Iranian built HESA Saeqeh fighter jets, flight training PC-7, Boeing 747 transport plane, Boeing 707, C-130 plane of Iranian Air Force were also put on public display.
