Yellow Vests protesters in Paris and across the country staged Saturdays demonstration for 29th consecutive week and first one since European Parliament election.

Iran Press/Europe: The mass demonstrations across France continue for a 29th consecutive week, with thousands of people hitting the streets to protest against the government.

The protesters in Paris gathered at Denfert-Rochereau square and are heading to the Place de la Nation at the early hours of rally, Reuters reported.

The yellow vests rallies initially began in France in November 2018 after President Emmanuel Macron's government announced hikes in fuel taxes.

The reform was later scrapped, however, protesters continued to gather for rallies across France every weekend to express their discontent with the current policies. 101/205
