Iran Press/ America: The Guatemalan government on Sunday night canceled a meeting between the country's president Jimmy Morales and his US counterpart Donald Trump which has been scheduled for Monday.

According to a statement by the Guatemalan government, the meeting was postponed for another time and canceled due to the possibility of signing an immigration agreement, Iran Press reported.

The agreement considers Guatemala as a third safe country in which immigrants who want to go to the United States will do their asylum application procedures.

The Guatemalan government announced on Thursday that Morales would be in the US to review the immigration and security issues.
