Iran Press/ Africa: In an exclusive interview with the Iran Press Agency, the envoy said the World Quds Day event is a key factor in keeping alive the cause of Palestine.
"Al-Quds Day is for all the Palestinian people and all Muslims around the world to celebrate and to remind the world about the suffering of the Palestinians. Most people around the world will be organizing very big demonstrations across the world, in European countries, Asia and African countries, in recognition of this day," he said
"As you know Al Quds in English means Jerusalem and Jerusalem is the capital city of Palestinian people", stated Al Sattari.
"According to international law, Israel occupied Jerusalem in 1967 and according to international law, all the lands seized by Israelis since 1967 belong to the Palestinian people. Israel occupied Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank and they uprooted the people from their houses and their lands in 1967 some of the people left Gaza and now Israel wants to live in Gaza and they want to uproot my people from Gaza to another country ... we don’t know ... they denied medicines and foods been entering inside Gaza, they want the people to suffer more and more so they leave their lands for them, and I am sure my people will not leave their lands, they will stay in Gaza they will not leave and we believe that Palestine will be free” added he.
“On Quds Day, I would like to ask all the people in the world to help stop Israeli war crimes against my people and the genocide against my people in Gaza and West Bank and all the Palestinian people,” Stressed the Palestinian envoy.
For Al-Sattari, even though this year's Quds Day will be different he also hoped that, with the assistance of the Almighty Allah, the processions on Quds Day will awaken the Muslim world, and Palestinian people will stay and get their lands from the occupier.
“This year's Quds Day is coming by in a difficult situation for the Palestinian people, but as Palestinian people, we feel that we are stronger than the Israelis because we are on our lands and we are not leaving our lands. If they have the weapons we have a strong belief that Palestine will be free one day and my people will stay on the land and some of the Palestinian people leaving outside will be back to their homes one day, he emphasized.
According to him, Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, who appealed to observe the World Al-Quds Day, knew the importance of the Quds, and so are all Muslims who understand Islam and Hadith should observe the day.
“Any Muslim in the world knows the importance of Jerusalem “Al-Quds”, every Muslim knows that the Al-Aqsa mosque is the third most important mosque in the world and before Israel occupied Jerusalem when people went to Mecca and Medina they also came to Jerusalem to pray in the Al-Aqsa mosque, and all the Muslim knows the importance of the Palestinian land, so when Imam Khomeini called for establishing of Al-Quds Day, he knew the importance of Palestine and the importance knew that Al-Aqsa mosque and Jerusalem are important in the history of Islam, he announced the commemoration of the Day of Al-Quds, looking at the circumstances and events, It is a day to stand up against oppression and oppressors.
This year's World Quds Day is an important day for all Muslims and all freedom seekers to honor the day.
