Iran Press/ West Asia: In an exclusive interview with Iran press correspondent in Beirut, Baqer Darwish, president of Bahrain Forum for Human Rights stated the importance of International Quds Day, Imam Khomeini (RA) has perpetuated the importance of the Palestine issue with the initiative of the International Quds Day, and the result is a demonstration of people's commitment and support for Palestine and Quds.
The President of Bahrain Forum for Human Rights emphasized that the continuation of Imam Khomeini's path by Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, shows His Eminence's deep belief and commitment to the cause of Palestine in words and deeds.
Baqer Darwish stated that the normalization of the ties of some Arabs with the Israeli regime is a serious challenge for the Palestinian issue, adding that Iran's commitment to the Palestinian issue prevents people and Islamic governments from diverting their attention to the cause of Palestine.
The President of Bahrain Forum for Human Rights said that the International Quds Day has helped to keep alive the issue of Palestine and spread the awareness of the people of the Arab and Islamic region to support the Palestinians.
This Bahraini human rights activist stated that International Quds Day should be more than a day and become a continuous and sustainable procedure in commitment to the cause of Palestine, saying that defending and supporting Palestine and opposing the normalization of ties is the responsibility of all Arab and Islamic nations.
On the initiative of Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan has been named World Quds Day to keep the cause of Palestine alive as the first issue of the Muslim World.
International Quds Day is a day when all the Islamic Ummah and freedom lovers of the world support Palestine.
