Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking in a press conference in Tehran on Saturday, Christoph Hamelmann went on to say that "We have seen the tremendous progress in terms of making available hospital facilities for the treatment of severe patients diagnosed with corona."
"We learned from the Ministry of Health of the designated sites in each of Iran's provinces," he added.
WHO official also said that now we are doing the mission, each province has a number, and each city has a number in treatment facilities that are fully dedicated to treating the patients.
We have seen hospitals. We have seen Primary health care (PHC) facilities and the mission continues tomorrow to see also in hospital and PHC facilities in Qom added he.
Hamelmann went on to say that "We have a clear picture of the situation and the clinical setting. I am also receiving a lot of comments, letters, and e-mails from nurses and doctors and about the facilities."
He said that we are informed about the situation existing in hospitals and treatment centers and we have a full commitment as WHO to assist Iran's Ministry of Health in all protection measures we can provide to those workers.
World Health Organization (WHO) representative Christoph Hamelmann added that "As we are facing the global constraints and procurement of the personal protective equipment for the healthcare workers, we are doing our best as WHO members plus all the member of the UN agencies together with government representatives in Iran to make protective equipment available as soon as possible in larger quantities."
