Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, has called for an end to support for Israel's actions in killing Palestinians.

Iran PressIran news: In a post on X, Kanaani wrote: "The barbarism and brutality of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip continue before the eyes of the world, with international bodies remaining passive after 167 days of war. The world only talks but has taken no action."

He added: "Since the start of the war on Gaza, 3,1923 Palestinian people have been killed and 74,096 injured, with over 72% of victims being women and children. One distressing development is the siege of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza by the Zionist occupying army for a fourth consecutive day. This morning, soldiers from this regime blew up and destroyed a specialized clinic at Al-Shifa Hospital."

Mr. Kanaani expressed his frustration: "Words cannot fully convey this senseless brutality before the eyes of the global community."

"Supporters and those who remain silent in the face of such brutality should be ashamed," he continued, adding: "The international community must act swiftly to free the United Nations and Security Council from being held hostage by the United States and the Zionist regime."
