Heavy and continuous rainfall in northwest Pakistan has resulted in severe flooding, claiming the lives of 68 people and causing extensive damage to hundreds of homes.

Iran Press/Asia:  The latest incident occurred in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where 12 people were killed due to a landslide triggered by the torrential rains.

The unprecedented rainfall has caused rivers to overflow, triggering floods, landslides, and the breaching of water dams in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, emergency situations have also been declared in the cities of Karachi, Quetta, and other southern regions of Pakistan, with disaster management teams on high alert.

The floods and landslides in northwest Pakistan have damaged hundreds of homes, with Geo News reporting that 200 houses were completely destroyed and over 170 people injured in rain-related incidents.
