The Serbian ambassador to Iran while referring to the US unlawful sanctions, emphasized on expanding ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a visit to Iran's national library on Tuesday, the Serbian ambassador to Iran Dragan Todorovic while referring to the US unlawful sanctions imposed on the Iranian nation, stressed that Belgrade is by no means afraid of US sanctions, and is interested to expand ties with Iran in various fields, reported Iran press.

"Serbia considers Iran as a friendly country and knows no limit to expand ties with Iran, "The Serbian ambassador added.

While referring to the fact that last year business ties between the two sides expanded by as much as 150-percent, a boom in business, Todorovic expressed hope that Tehran-Belgrade ties would expand more than ever before.

The Serbian envoy also expressed Serbia's readiness to ink a Memorandum of Understanding with Iran's national library, saying many Persian books have been translated into the Serbian language including several books written by the Late Imam Khomeini (may God bless his soul).

While noting that so many Serbians are interested in learning (Farsi/Persian Language), the Serbian diplomat stated that every year an Iranian film festival is held in Serbia.

He said everything is set for the production of a joint film by Iran and Serbia in the near future.
