New York (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed the revision in the UN's structure.

Iran PressAmerica: Heading a high-level political delegation, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, has traveled to New York to attend the 78th United Nations General Assembly meeting.

In an interview with RT, Raisi stressed that revising the structure of the UN is a must such that it can play its role in the development of security, justice, and security.

If the restructuration does not happen, Raisi noted, the role of the UN will decrease day after day, and its position will decline, given the powers emerging in the world from among the developing countries.

Raisi referred to Iran as one of the emerging countries with a promising future and introduced the Iranian nation as one of the main players in the new world order being formed.

He pointed to Iran's achieving significant advancements despite the sanctions and threats and recalled that today, the resistance in the region is recognized by Iran.

As with the Ukrainian war, Iran's President said the end to the war is to the benefit of all while attributing the war to the NATO expansionist policies.

President Raisi said that Ukraine is today heavily supported and armed by the United States and European countries, which naturally emboldens the country to continue the war.
