Tehran(IP)- Known as the founder of the first carpet-weaving art school in Tehran. In the last years of his life, with the help of Tehran Municipality, Rasam Arabzadeh founded an institution called "Rasam Arabzadeh Cultural and Artistic Foundation" and also donated 66 pieces of his hand-woven fabrics.

Seyd Abolfat-Rasam Arabzadeh was born in 1914 in Tabriz city. He spent his childhood with his kind and artistic father in a slow-moving world, full of imagination, learning patterns, and recognizing colors.

Besides his father, an art master of his own time, he became familiar with sculpture, music, poetry and literature, design, and calligraphy.

Arabzadeh began to receive academic training in design and painting. Up until then, carpets had been woven in the traditional way. However, with his increasing experience, he planned to produce artistic carpets.

By combining tradition with artistic innovations in carpet patterns, he brought philosophy and literature into the world of carpets and so changed a thousand year’s old styles. in the exhibition of his carpets forces and against stood opposite of each other in a new alignment.
