Rawalpindi (IP) - The Cultural Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Rawalpindi staged a competition of the recitation of the Holy Quran to pay homage to the great martyrs of Iran, Palestine, and Lebanon.

Iran Press/Asia: Renowned Iranian reciters and Pakistani scholars from different cities participated in this competition.

The reciters from Iran's special style of recitation had a unique effect on the entire environment, and those who listened to the recitation appreciated it.

 

Addressing the ceremony, the organizers said that more than 42,000 oppressed Palestinians sacrificed their lives, now the time has come for the Islamic countries to stand up against the Israeli aggression.

Director of Cultural Consulate of Iran Hassan Nourian said that every style of reciting the Holy Quran is unique and effective, millions of people around the world recite the Holy Quran every day and this process will continue until the Day of Judgment.

He said that the special style of recitation of Iranian reciters is very unique and is known in the world for its style.

He also mentioned Quranic and religious events in a very interesting manner, which the audience listened with great interest. 

Addressing this occasion Allama Manwar Ziai from Jamia Razvia Zia Uloom, said that it is our good fortune that the reciters from our brotherly country Iran are here today.

He said that Iranian reciters are recognized as the teachers of recitation worldwide and we hope that the participating students of the Qur'an will take full advantage of their presence. 
 
Internationally renowned reciter Hussain Chakami, Director of Iran Cultural House in Peshawar, and Allama Manawar Khan Ziai selected the best performance and the prizes were awarded to winners.

Meanwhile, prayer was offered for the highest ranks of martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, martyr Ismail Haniya, martyred Lt. General Qasim Soleimani, and other martyrs of resistance.
