China (IP) - A group of Iranians living in China, celebrated the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in a ceremony hosted by Iran's Embassy in Beijing.

Iran PressAsia: The celebration, which was held on Monday evening Beijing local time, happy programs were performed by the organizers with the attendees giving a special mood to this event. 

The diverse programs fostered happy moments for the children present in the celebration whose number was significant.  

Playing video clips about the lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was also among the programs performed in the ceremony.

Today, October 3, 2023, Rabi ul-Awwal 17, 1445 AH, is the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his grandson Imam Jafar al-Sadegh, the sixth Imam of the Shia. 

The Shia Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born on Rabi ul-Awwal 17 and the Sunni Muslims believe it happened on Rabi ul-Awwal 12.

The time span between the two dates was named the Week of Unity a symbol of unity and solidarity among the world's Muslims.
