Salman Safavi, a member of the World Congress of Scholastic Philosophers in Italy and Portugal and president of the Academy of Iranian Studies in London, said in a video message: Rumi's influence on world civilization extends beyond the borders of Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Turkey.
He stated that Rumi's thought connects nations and according to many Westerners, his teachings are one of the best components of philosophy and the practice of mysticism and philosophy.
Professor Azarmidokht Safavi the founder of the Persian Language Research Institute at the Aligarh Muslim University of India, in a video message at the conference, said that Iran and India had been in contact for centuries, after the entering of Islam into the Indian subcontinent, these relations increased and the best works were published in Farsi in India.
The International Conference "Iran and Global Civilization" was held on Tuesday in Tehran virtually with the participation of prominent professors of Iranology.
